Music Camp 2016 Reflections
~ exploring the depths of God's Love through music ~
Gratitude fills our hearts as we look back on the blessings of the 2 weeks of Music Camp 2016. With over 60 musical young people from across Australia and New Zealand, the increase in both size and standard testify to God’s goodness and blessings.
Five new music films are on their way, with something a little 'different' which you’ll find out all about soon ;)
In addition to creating many memories of happy times of music-making and fellowship, the camp also positively impacted many young people spiritually. Along with many other commitments, more than 20 young people expressed their desire to be baptised. Many camp participants also rated an increased desire to study their Bibles as one of the most memorable things they took away from camp.
As well as exciting studies on Daniel & Revelation, young people were also given the opportunity to bless the community through Christian help-bands or through canvassing. During 3 days of canvassing, over 300 Steps to Christ found new homes in the local community through the literature evangelism work, along with many Great Controversies and other books.
Other highlights of camp include a fun music flash-mob in the community, two concerts in local SDA churches, and the opportunity to make new friendships which we pray will last for eternity.

Music camp was such a huge blessing to me, not just from the point of view that it was music but it was also hugely spiritually uplifting. I was exceedingly blessed by music camp. The campfire talks and Sabbath services were both challenging and inspiring. I was a little skeptical about the singing side of things to start with but after a couple of days I was really enjoying it. The fellowship is great, catching up with old friends and making new ones. The help bands in the later part of the second week were really good, it’s always fun to get in and work with a bunch of friends. Music camp was fantastic. I had a lot of fun. Spiritual Emphasis
At Music Camp we are striving to create an atmosphere most suited to spiritual growth. One of our main goals of camp is to gain a closer walk with God. You can gain a little insight into this by watching one of the messages that were shared during camp. This particular sermon was shared for the Sabbath Service during the first week of camp.
